Regulations
– MASTERCLASS WITH ADAM RAPA –
Art. 1
BAM International, as the organizer of the GMBC Géneve Music Band Contest, promotes and organizes from October 29th to 31st, 2021 the “Highly Specialized Trumpet Masterclass” with the following teacher: Adam Rapa (Trumpet).
Art. 2
The Masterclass will take place at the Geneva Palaexpo. Participation is open to trumpet players of all nationalities, without age limits and in possession of adequate preparation, to all those who are interested in perfecting the technical, interpretative and historical aspects of freely chosen pieces from literature for trumpet. No requirements for listeners.
Art. 3
Will be admitted as active students: 10 students.
The Masterclass will start with a minimum of seven students, in the event that this threshold is not reached, the fees already paid by the participants and auditors will be returned.
No maximum number for auditors.
Art. 4
Applications for registration, must be on the hereafter facsimile format and compiled in a pdf file (the incompleteness of the questions will lead to non-acceptance of the same). Must be sent to the contest email: artdir@genevemusicbandcontest.com addressed to the Artistic Direction of the GMBC, no later than October 15th, 2021 by forwarding the receipt of the payment made by bank transfer to the Raiffeisen Bank in the name of BAM International sàrl with the following amounts:

– PARTICIPANT STUDENTS: 400.00 EURO
– PARTICIPANT AUDITORS: 80.00 EURO
Art. 5
The lessons on October, 29th and 30th will follow the following schedule:
– Morning:
· Warm-up / Fundamentals (topics concerning the physics of the trumpet, the mental approach and the gradual technical-musical development on the instrument will be addressed)
· Individual lessons
– Afternoon:
· Ensemble music (Orchestral steps in section, preparation of musical pieces for trumpet ensembles)
· Individual lessons
– Sunday October 31st: Grant of participation certificates.
Art. 6
The organization reserves the right to make any changes to this regulation that may be necessary for a better develop of the event and declines all responsibility for any damage that may occur to the competitors and to their property during the course of the Masterclass. Students who with their behavior damage the image and good name of the Masterclass and/or do not respect the indications given by the organization will be excluded from the event without any right of reimbursement.

Art. 8
The organizers will not be responsible for theft or damage to instruments or other objects owned by the students as well as to the furnishings and equipment at the exhibition venues.
Art. 9
Participation in the Masterclass implies the unconditional and unreserved acceptance of these regulations. The candidate who does not comply with the regulations will lose all rights relating to participation without any compensation. Art. 10
The Masterclass will be held entirely in English.
Art. 11
At the venue of the Masterclass an assistance center for brass instruments will be activated, provided by the Besson company for service and repair of instruments.
Art. 12
All matters not covered by this regulation are subject to the regulations in force in the Swiss legislature. In the event of a dispute, the Court of Geneva will be competent.
